1. Somebody here who has some experience with Socrates Standard Level? Can you trade profitable with only SOC standard info?

2. I would be also interested on how you'd trade the indicators and numbers that are provided in the SOC standard. The statements there are at times confusing because several indicators seem to contradict itself at the same time level (like monthly). Something like this in Gold:

...This is warning to pay attention since last month had closed higher so the upward momentum is weak on the monthly level. ... Comment: why is the upward momentum weak if last month closed higher???]

Comment: But at the same time the monthly GWM momentum is bullish

.....For now on a broader perspective, this market in an uptrend posture looking at the monthly level.....

Some caution is necessary since the last high 137750 was important given we did obtain three sell signals from that event established during July 2016

....We have generated a buy signal so some caution is required.....

Hello,

1.-I am a subscriber of the Socrates Investor level and in my experience this level is not valid for day or swing trading. This level is for long term investors, as MA has pointed out some times.
For example, according to Socrates USD is going to rally sharply in 2018 towards 2020 due to sovereing debt crisis in Europe and emerging markets.

2.-Yes, I agree sometimes the numbers and the text are confusing.
It would be nice to know the experience of other subscribers.

Regards,
Entran30

Thats correct, but SOC standard also has comments on the daily and weekly level.
I wonder what's the significance of these indicators is.
Are those indicators taken from the GMW (Global Market Watch) daily and weekly? This is my assumption. I guess someone with access to the SOC Trader Level beta could confirm/deny this.
I've even seen comments (currently on the DAX) which suggest that also GMW weekly level indicators are posted there. So stuff that is rather expected in the SOC Trader level. They are just put in commentary form.

I'm currently working on an analysis of the written commentary of SOC standard. I guess that decoding that would also help with SOC Trader level, but I'm also interested in trading the monthly level, not so much the yearly level.

looking forward to more comments
Thanks!

My understanding is that the GMW is only for confirmation. The signals it gives are very "rearview mirror' looking.

Based on the 2016 Video MA put out on his Vimeo site it is best to use the arrays with the reversals for timing. Start with the monthly level down to weekly down to daily to get the best trends.

As we wait patiently for the trader level the Gold Guns and War report was just released. Interesting that it is $300USD vs the regular $500 for the "gold report" Im not sure how much more info is in this new report for traders. Basically. my current understanding of gold is sideways and then a sell off into 2018

Oh by the way. Is there a way to ensure I get emails overtime someone posts on this forum. I just happened to check today after not logging in for a while?

I have "Subscribe and receive email notification of new replies" for every post but it doesn't email me for some reason.
Thanks

An update regarding the Trader level:

Sorry for the delay and confusion regarding the services. The trader services
will take additional time to release. We are aiming to release trader services Q2 this year, but due to some recent hurdles in addition to changing our data provider we cannot give a specific date for the release at this time. When we get closer to the release, an announcement will be made
Entry Level will be $75 Month which gives access to GMW and the Private Blog. Securities can be purchased with credits at a price to be determined

@PSP interesting info about the trader level . So the price has gone up from 750$ annually to 900$

I assume that the Guns and Gold report is not really with reversals and arrays. At least the description of the report does IMO not imply that.

I've updated the info post on how to subscribe to the different forums/sub-forums. Basically one has to subscribe to each forum individually. Maybe thats the missing configuration in your account.

I've done a analysis of the GMW for Gold, Euro and Oil for the last 8 Month. Would one have followed the comments (bullish or bearish) with short and long positions on the monthly closing, then the following would have happened.

*Update* I've found a small error in this post, so I'd like to verify it and I'll repost it shortly.

Well, i did receive awn emailed notification on this thread. So, I think things are working as they should.

Thank you for sharing the 8 month analysis. Interesting how well gold did just based on monthly numbers.

I know MA is outright stated it is not a trading system, but use this in combination with the reversals and the arrays and I feel one could have a nice profit for little stress.

Curious to see the weekly info on this too.

I have just re-signed up for the standard version of socrates. I am wanting to upgrade the account when the "trader" or whatever they call it comes out to benefit from the reversal numbers and arrays.

We will see if there are additional costs on top of the $75/month to access arrays and reversals. How it was worded to me was as follows: "Entry Level will be $75 Month which gives access to GMW and the Private Blog."

no mention of reversals and arrays. Maybe that is additional $ depending on what markets you want.

yes, I also noticed this also. private blog is already included with standard level. So only GMW left???
This would be a drastic change in how it was planned originally. hard to imagine that MA would really do this. Maybe the support SOC folks where not accurate in describing the trader level features.
One probably can't even call this a trader service if only GWM is included.
Cheers,
Alex

I've calculated the x% TP rule as well for Euro, Gold and Oil (see above) and it didn't change much for the Euro, but it did a lot for Oil (+xx%) and a bit Gold (+xx%) annually.
So Gold has even done better with the x% rule and oil (with it's high volatility) has done much better than before.
